So...I bought a horn for my Cavalier. It was a used horn off of a car in the junkyard. How can I test said horn before I go ahead and take my bumper off??

2 test leads to 12V + and - , hit the contacts, doesnt matter which way. Easy peasy. Oh and dont put your ear next to it

A lead to a 12V+ and a lead to a ground should do it.

Pop open your hood and get some cables (alligator clips should work). Ground one side of the horn to the car, and touch the other side to the positive car battery terminal. The horn should sound if it works.

as noted by others, you can just connect a 12v source, I did this recently when creating a video comparing new and old horns in my Civic, its a thrilling video with deep plot lines, two thumbs enthusiastically up https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10…

I was inspired by the complex storyl ines and characters of Wes Anderson's movies, I'm really glad it came through in the final product

Obvious answer is obvious. You crank the handle to make sure it works...
